First time introductory trial lessons
$75 -1 hour lesson
$40- 30 min lesson ages 3-5
If you decide to go forward with weekly lessons, you would then select the lesson package that best suits your individual needs. Tuition will be due the first riding lesson of each month
Package A- $395 This package includes a weekly lesson and an unmounted horsemanship lesson
Package B- $700 This package includes a bi-weekly lesson, an unmounted horsemanship lesson, in addition be you will also receive priority scheduling. Sorry no splitting.
Package C-$900- This package will include 3 lessons a week, an unmounted horsemanship lesson, priority scheduling, and your choice of suitable horse. Sorry so splitting.
Package D- $170 This package is for the littles between the ages of 3-5. It will include a weekly 30 min lesson
What to expect at your lesson
Included in the lesson students will learn how to groom, saddle (tack) and unsaddle (untack) their horse. Learning good horsemanship is an important part of the lesson program to develop well rounded equestrians.
Horsemanship lesson
Tuition packages A and B include a horsemanship lesson. Horsemanship lessons will be held Mondays from 4-5pm once per month. In these lessons we will learn all the things someone would need to know to further their equine knowledge or if they plan to own or lease their own horse in the future.
Safety
Safety of our students is of the utmost importance. All students must wear an ASTM/SEI approved riding helmets when on a horse. If you do not have a helmet one will be provided for you. It is also highly recommended that students wear boots that have a heel. Long pants are also recommended to avoid pinching or rubs from the saddle. In warm/hot weather it is important to stay hydrated please feel free to bring water, sports drinks, etc.
Weather and cancellations
Lessons will be cancelled in inclement weather such as high winds, rain, thunder and lightning. During the heat of the summer lessons will be taught in the morning ending no later then 10am or in the evening starting after 5:30pm. In addition to weather there are times after heavy rain that our arena is too wet or muddy to ride. This poor footing is dangerous for horses and riders. In such cases lessons may be cancelled due to unsafe arena conditions.
In the event that you need to cancel or reschedule your lesson we ask that you please give 24 hours notice. We will do our absolute best to reschedule your lesson based on availability. Lessons that are cancelled after the 24 window will be rescheduled at the discretion of the instructor, and may result in forfeiture of that lesson.
No Call No Shows will result in forfeiture of that lesson and will not be available for makeup.
Horsemanship lesson may be held in certain weather conditions. If we cancel horsemanship for any reason we will hold a makeup day. If a student is unable to attend there will be no makeup as it is a group lesson.
Equipment
All the equipment students need to ride the horse is supplied. Grooming and bathing supplies are also available to students. We have helmets and some riding boots available to borrow. We understand that students may want to try riding out before they invest in their own helmet, boots, and riding clothes. We do encourage students who decide to continue with lessons to invest in their own helmet and boots after a few lessons. If a student does have their own saddle they may use it so long as it fits the horse.
